Our community thrives because of the selfless individuals who dedicate their time, energy, and passion to making Whitchurch-Stouffville a better place for everyone. We are now accepting nominations for our most prestigious annual honors: Citizen of the Year and Sports Person of the Year.

Whether they are a champion of local charity or a leader in the sporting arena, we want to hear their story. Help us recognize those who have made a lasting, positive impact on our town by submitting your nomination by June 10.

2026 Sports Person of the Year

CRITERIA

Who: Open to all Whitchurch-Stouffville residents, service clubs, and local organizations.

Why: To honor those who have made a lasting, positive impact on our town and its people.

How: Nominees are selected based on their dedication to community service and local improvement.

When: Deadline for submission: June 10th

TIPS FOR A WINNING NOMINATION

Be Specific: Instead of saying "they are good in leadership," mention a specific action they led or a team/person they helped.

Quantify if Possible: Mention how many years they’ve volunteered or how many people their athletic program served.

Letters of Support: You may attach up to two additional letters from other residents, coaches or leaders to strengthen the nomination.
