This collaboration marks a new chapter in the festival’s history and is designed to address challenges in volunteer recruitment and enhance the operational capacity of this cherished tradition. The partnership will combine the resources and expertise of the Town of Stouffville with the passion and dedication of the festival’s Board of Directors, ensuring the event continues to thrive for future generations. Key elements of the partnership include: Town of Stouffville Leadership: The Town will manage critical operational aspects of the festival, including entertainment, sponsorships, marketing, vendor coordination, and technical production. Board of Directors’ Legacy Oversight: The Board will continue to oversee cherished legacy events such as the Pancake Breakfast, the Citizen and Sports Person of the Year awards, and the Sandra Stronach Red Berry Café, preserving the festival's community-driven spirit. “Our shared responsibility model ensures that the Strawberry Festival will not only maintain its unique charm but also benefit from the resources and capabilities of the Town,” said Rob Braid, Commissioner of Community Services for the Town of Stouffville. “This partnership is a testament to our commitment to preserving and enhancing this treasured community tradition. ”Through this new partnership, vendors and sponsors can look forward to opportunities for engagement, visibility, and collaboration as planning for the 2025 event gets underway. “As we embark on this exciting new chapter, we are confident that this partnership will secure the festival’s legacy as a cornerstone of Stouffville’s summer events,” said Cornelia Hunter-Burns, President of the Strawberry Festival Board of Directors.     Strawberry Jam Junior" an Open Mic/Stage event open to kids 12 years of age and younger. This is a free event but children (parent) must pre-register by going to our website. Is your child a budding singer, dancer, musician, magician or just a kid that has a special talent they would like to show off? This event will be held rain or shine on the Main Stage on Saturday afternoon . Room is limited to the first 21 kids to register. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER

  • GO GREEN | Strawberry Festival

    The Strawberry Festival is striving to go green! Visitors Look for our Waste Stations located around the food vendor areas. There are bins for recycling, food waste/organics and regular waste. Quench your thirst with free, unlimited water from our two Water Stations located in the food vendor area. Bring reusable water bottles, food containers, cutlery, and bags and maximize your waste reduction! Vendors: Join our Green Vendor Program and receive additional promotion and recognition Food Vendors are eligible for a discount on registration fees! Help us reduce our waste footprint by using alternatives to single-use plastics, and by complying with our ‘no balloons’ policy. Take advantage of our 3-stream (recycling, organics, and garbage) disposal options, so food waste, cardboard boxes, and other recyclables can be properly collected.     THE WHITCHURCH-STOUFFVILLE STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL IS PROUD TO HOST THE 2024 PEOPLE OF THE YEAR AWARDS! Do you know someone who should be honoured as the Citizen of the Year or the Sportsperson of the Year? The Whitchurch-Stouffville Strawberry Festival is currently accepting nominations for these prestigious annual awards. Winners will be recognized during the Opening Ceremonies of the Stouffville Strawberry Festival on Friday, June 28th , 2024. And The Winners Are:

  • DOG CONTEST | Strawberry-Festival

    The fun Strawberry Festival Dog Contest will be back. In 2025, our popular “fun” Dog Contest is being held on June 29th in Franklin Park starting at 2:00. Bring your pooch! You need to register on-site. As responsible dog owners your dog must be on a leash at all times. Who is the best kisser, looks most like you, jumps highest!!! Join us even if you are not a dog owner for the fun and laughter and admire the handsome and beautiful contestants. Sunday, June 29th, 2025, 2 PM in Franklin Park. (East of the playground across the bridge). Prizes are sponsored by K-9’s in Kahoots.

    The Strawberry Festival is striving to go green! Go Green We are excited to announce our new green initiatives to help the festival be greener than a field of strawberry plants in June! We have 4 new waste stations located around the food vendor areas. There are bins for recycling, food waste/organics and regular waste. We’d love to see the compost and recycling bins being used to their “full” potential! Even one item diverted from waste is great. No sure what bin to use? Volunteers will be mingling with our visitors to help with any questions you may have. We are happy to help you, so don’t be shy! WAIT! We aren’t done yet. Did you know about the new water stations? Bring your reusable water bottle and fill it up for free, tasty water to go with your even tastier festival snacks. Don't have your own? Visit our Info Booth to purchase a Festival-branded BPA-free water bottle. GREEN VENDOR PROGRAM Are you a new or returning Festival vendor? This program is for you! Our goal is to encourage and support our vendors to make greener choices to reduce the waste produced at the festival. Have you been interested in cutting back on your waste?     The Strawberry Festival continues to pursue sustainable options and welcomes the community to participate in these greening efforts. We no longer permit the use of plastic balloons and Styrofoam containers, and promote the use of reusable water bottles through our popular Water Stations. Look for these other green features at our 2024 festival: Sustainable Stouffville booth In 2023, we introduced Sustainable Stouffville – a project aimed at raising awareness and coordinating action on environmental issues in our community. Visit our booth this year to learn how this project is advancing and how you can get involved. VIEW/DOWNLOAD SUSTAINABLE STOUFFVILLE REPORT What Does sustainability mean to me? WATCH THE VIDEO VIEW/DOWNLOAD THE WASTE RESOUCE GUIDE You can also follow Sustainable Stouffville on social media: Bike Corrals To encourage Active Transportation to the Strawberry Festival, we are providing two free Bike Corrals. These are central, fenced-off spots to park your bike, scooter, jogging stroller, etc. Corral #1 will be attached to the Sustainable Stouffville booth near the Info Booth, and Corral #2 will be beside the main baseball diamond near the covered pavilion. Please bring a lock to secure your device, and note that the Strawberry Festival is not responsible for any theft or damage. Both Corrals will be available for use anytime, but volunteers will be stationed at Corral #1 on Saturday and Sunday from 9-5pm Bus Shuttle The Strawberry Festival is offering a convenient bus "shuttle" service to and from the event site. Check our Festival Schedule (Saturday or Sunday ) for the various pick up and drop off locations around town. Leave your car at home – the drive is on us!
